Elder Iongi and Elder Homer. They are both terrific missionaries. Elder Iongi is very sweet and kind. Even though his appearance can be somewhat misunderstood. He has a very deep voice. He means what he says. He keeps the Tongans in line. He is from Tonga. It is interesting, Tonga is very close to the Philippines, but the church sends these missionaries to Provo Utah for training and then back to the Philippines to serve. Anyone foreign to the Philippines must come from the Provo MTC. Elder Homer is great too. He is the driver for President Anderson on most occasions. He is also a great Elder.

Elder Obispo and Elder Cheney

Elder Obispo in the purple apron is a chief. He owned his own eatery before he came on his mission. He earned all of his money for his mission and saved a lot of money so when he comes home from his mission he is going to open another eatery that offers massages also.
His parents are currently running his restaurant. He is an amazing cook. His companion, Elder Cheney, loves his cooking. He says that he has so much more energy each day because of the good, fresh food that Elder Obispo cooks. They came to our house and cooked up a storm. We loved the food. It was all Ilicano food. So, Elder Ganir was thrilled. (He is FBI, full-blooded Ilicano) I loved the food too.

Stalled vehicle notification!

This vehicle has a flat tire. No one ever pulls off the road to fix a flat tire. They just put a stalled vehicle notification behind the vehicle that usually is a branch of a tree and other whatever interesting things. If this flat tire was on the left side of the vehicle, the person would be changing the tire in the middle of the road. The unusual thing about this picture, is the two brightly colored, road hazard triangles. I have never them seen them here before this. I guess both road hazard notifications work!

This is Elder Winn in the middle. He was always taking the pictures. This was the only picture we had of him.

Elder Winn was with William from the very beginning. He was instrumental in finding and teaching William. Two other elders that helped Elder Winn are already home from their mission.

A very special baptism!

Today William was baptized. The elders who taught him made sure that all the special needs for this to happen, were addressed. They had a white shirt made to fit him and a white pair of pants. Elder Moala is in the long sleeve, white shirt and white lava-lava. He is from Tonga and this is what they wear in his country to perform baptisms. I spoke at the baptism and believe it or not, Elder Ganir and I were asked to sing a song. We died, I mean we did. It was very rainy in the morning, but the afternoon was a great day for a baptism.
