Fast and furious

Luckily we were going up hill.

There go the road dividers, floating away.

We are having 3 days of torrential rain.

This just started
and it began to flood
immediately. The
orange road dividers
are floating down
the street.

You all know how we find surprises in our back kitchen. It's the kitchen that just has an
aluminum roof, but no ceiling. So it is kind of an open kitchen. We really can't use it,
so we just walk in to get things out of the
fridge and cook on the stove. We prepare everything in our living room kitchen. I know it
sounds funny, but it is true.
Anyway, this is the second snake Dad found in that back kitchen. I did not go to see it when he found it. So this is the first time I've seen this picture. I say, "Where ever their is a baby, the momma is close by." Yikes!!!!! I always open that back kitchen door and peek in first and just look things over, before I step into that area. We have found kittens, chicken feathers, snakes, 3"cockroaches, big spiders, big and small ants, all kinds of droppings, and other kinds of insects that I don't have a name for.

Serindipity!

This is an inactive family that joined the church in the early 90's. This is them with their two youngest children. Isn't the baby girl adorable. They have grown children and even one grandchild. Anyway, we visit with them about once or twice per month. I was encouraging the mother to have the baby blessed. The next thing I know, three sisters from the ward walks by and it was the RS pres. doing visits. They noticed me and shook my had and I introduced them to this sister. They did not know that these people existed. They knew their 15 year old daughter??? Anyway, a connection was made and they talked a little. I hope the ward will reach out now. The missionaries always visit them too.

This is at one of Pres. Mortimer's favorite restaurant. It is owned by a blond German with a strong accent. The menu has his own special recipe of German sausages and German potato salad. He has a fabulous chili that Elder Ganir loves and lots of Filipino food and Mexican food. He lives here and his Filipino wife works in Germany. We stop there on the way back, every time we go with Pres. M. to Oriental Mindoro island for Zone interviews.

We went to a branch conference today.

Our overload picture of the day!

This is a flowering plant that is great for arbors.

When looking straight on, the brown thread like stands hanging from the greenery is perfectly straight at the bottom like someone gave it a bang trim. Once a year these brown strands produce a medium size beautiful white flower. The flowers are randomly spread through out the brown bangs (like in hair bangs). I will try to capture that picture one day.

I love these flowers! They don't have any fragrance though.
