This is a very special presentaion that the elders from Tonga did for our new mission President.

Click on the movie icon in the left corner to see it. Sorry, Elder Ganir was on the side instead of the front. It is a song about a great white man of God with white hair. It was done first for David O McKaY in Tonga many years ago. It is meant as a very special honor to whom ever they sing it too, even the loud dance at the end. It is called the Haka.

We went to the temple in Manila today and we were invited to go the the Shangri-La Hotel for lunch.

Elder Queathem (the AP) was going home today. His dad and sister came to pick him up on the way home from a trip in Europe. We had them over for dinner at our house and he had us to the Shangri-La Hotel in Manila. It was like a huge buffet in Los Vegas or on a cruise ship. Elder Ganir and I went straight for the sushi bar. It was fabulous! and oh so fresh. Just had to show you, Amber. After we had basically finished eating some wonderful dessertssssssss, Dad went back for more sushi. There was thirteen of us invited to lunch by Elder Queathem's dad. He is very kind and generous. He is not a member of the church. He is a terrific guy. Anyone who had a shake with lunch was given a stuffed panda bear. President and Sister Anderson really enjoyed it too.

Looking to our left and then to our right at Ibaan Public Market early in the morning when the street was clean.

The trikes are waiting for passengers to come out of the market with full bags, in need of a ride home.

Elder Ganir saying goodbye to the security guard as we left.

Earlier, Elder Ganir had to go to the car to get something. The gate was locked so no one could get in or out. The guard went to have his lunch.

This school has 2700 students and it was built in the 30's.

The canteen was SO very small, but the missionaries were hungry between classes. These are some of the cooks and servers in the canteen.

A fun service project!

We went on a service project with these eight missionaries in one of our areas. We went to Taal/Lemery High School and taught the Word of Wisdom to 200 plus students. We taught in 4 different classroom to 4 different groups of students. We really had a great time. We were very well received. We started each class with a prayer. We introduced ourselves and taught with a firm conviction of staying healthy and avoiding alcohol, tobacco and coffee/tea and illegal drugs. We all took turns talking about different issues. We even sang, I am a Child of God at the end. I couldn't believe this high school would allow us to come and be so happy to see us.
